IVERSEN-RARITY DOWNLOADABLE FROM OUR NETLABEL PAGE  Third album in our ongoing digital series, "For old times sake". We're celebrating 2011 by releasing an Iversen-rarity, scullfaced moon, on our netlabel. The album is a project made between 93 and 94. zang: @ tou scene, 22nd of June, EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC FROM THE BASQUE COUNTY ! One-day festival of experimental and challenging music from the Basque country... Come experience great music from the Basque country at Tou Scene June 22nd.. The 3 artists TZESNE, MIGUEL GARCIA AND OIER I.A are all rooted in the thriving experimental music scene in Bilbao. This city is a cultural hub and the heart of the basque region, geographically confined in Spain. The city of Bilbao has been a cultural heavyweight for the last 20 years or so, after the glory days of the factories and the industry came to an end. These 3 artists are all placed firmly in electronic music, but have their background from both rock bands and fine arts studies. They have been working on music for theatre and dance performances, treated field recordings and home made electronic instruments and devices. This is top notch, highly original electronic music with character, with an entirely Basque twist that is somewhat hard to pinpoint.... They will all play a solo set each. Also playing this evening is UK electonic improv group NO CONTEXT. Expect collages and improvisation in the electronic junkyard... The local duo BJERGA/IVERSEN will play support. The duo travelled to Bilbao last summer to play some gigs, but also gave workshops on home-made instruments and the use of contact-microphones and circuit-bending in electronics. That was the first part of this Norwegian - Basque cultural exchange. Expect noise-based improvisations with a psychedelic flavour on rewired junk equipment... |
